DESCRIPTION:Field Hall Presents: Sam Grisman Project\nFriday\, December 19th @ 7:30PM | Donna M. Morris Theater\n*Tickets $45-$60 Adult | Financial assistance available – click here to apply\n*Our ticketing platform Ludus charges a 5% service fee for all credit card transactions. To avoid this fee\, visit our Box Office at 201 W. Front Street and pay via cash or check. Hours: Monday-Saturday 10AM-2PM. \nField Arts & Events Hall is delighted to welcome Sam Grisman back to the Donna M. Morris Theater for a special evening with friends! \nSAM GRISMAN ON HIS PROJECT:\nThe music that my father David Grisman and his close friend\, Jerry Garcia\, made in the early 90s (in the house that I grew up in) is not only some of the most timeless acoustic music ever recorded\, it also triggers my oldest and fondest musical memories. What I find most inspiring about this material is the way their camaraderie and their love and joy for the music\, simply oozes out of each recording. It is also impressive how deeply they get beneath their favorite songs—whether they are originals\, covers or traditional/old time tunes—and how expertly that material was curated. \nMy goal in starting Sam Grisman Project is to build a platform for my friends and me to showcase our genuine passion and appreciation for the legacy of Dawg and Jerry’s music. By playing some of their beloved repertoire and sharing the original music that our own collective has to offer\, we will also show the impact that this music has had on our own individual  musical voices. Ultimately\, there is nothing that makes me happier than playing great songs with my best friends and my hope is to share that happiness with audiences all over! \nOur mission is to make art accessible to everyone. Financial assistance is available for this event through our #fieldhallforall program. Patrons can request a discount of up to 100%. Click here to apply for financial assistance.

Hours: Monday-Saturday 10AM-2PM. \nThe Steel Wheels are an Americana roots and folk-rock band based in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.  The band’s name is a tip-of-the-hat to steam-powered trains\, industrial progress\, and the buggies of yesteryear.  Their origins date back to 2005\, and they’ve spent almost twenty years writing\, recording\, and touring\, all the while constantly honing their evolving brand of American roots music.  Blending soaring harmonies with virtuosic instrumentation\, their musical style weaves through Americana and bluegrass\, folk and old-time music\, and the acoustic poetry of the finest singer-songwriters…more recently\, building on traditional forms\, they have begun to draw on modern sounds…incorporating percussion and keyboard…to capture the beauty in all of life’s varied trials and triumphs. \nThe band features Trent Wagler (lead vocalist\, mountain banjo player\, guitarist\, songwriter)\, Jay Lapp (mandolin\, guitar\, electric guitar\, vocals)\, Eric Brubaker (fiddle\, vocals)\, Kevin Joaquin Garcia (drums\, hand percussion\, keyboards\, vocals)\, and Jeremy Darrow (bass\, vocals). Their newest album\, Sideways\, released on Big Ring Records\, is a meditation on resilience and survival.  You can listen to samples at: https://soundcloud.com/thesteelwheels/sets/sideways-expanded-edition. \nClick here for more information about the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society

SUMMARY:TAE & The Neighborly
DESCRIPTION:Field Hall Presents: TAE & The Neighborly\nWednesday\, September 24 @ 7PM | Sunset Lounge Dance Party\n*Tickets $20\, General Admission | Financial assistance available – click here to apply\n*Our ticketing platform Ludus charges a 5% service fee for all credit card transactions. To avoid this fee\, visit our Box Office at 201 W. Front Street and pay via cash or check. Hours: Monday-Saturday 10AM-2PM. \nCelebrate the start of fall with one final summer-style dance party and happy hour in the Sunset Lounge! This general admission event will offer a dance floor with plenty of room to boogie\, and Happy Hour specials from 5PM – 6:30PM before the music starts. \nTAE & The Neighborly\, a Wisconsin based Soul-pop R&B group\, found themselves playing music together in a very unconventional way. \nThey were all neighbors\, each one living alone on one floor of a five-story flat. Cake baking is a shared passion of the five member group\, but in the sugar shortages early in the 2020 pandemic\, they found themselves so continually knocking on each other’s doors asking for a single cup of sugar that a group decision was made to all move in together and share cake-baking resources. And since everyone knows all good rhythms begin in the kitchen\, it wasn’t before long that the group began to write and perform together  across the nation. \nCritics hail the group as “having more kick than a bagged-up mule” (Rotary Times)  and their live show “…going down smoother than a can of [beans] warmed on the campfire” (Cowboy Gazette). All in all\, if you are looking for a dense show that will give you more inspiration fuel for self lovin’\, world changin’\, and consideration havin’ meet them where the music is made to be shared. \nOur mission is to make art accessible to everyone. Financial assistance is available for this event through our #fieldhallforall program. Patrons can request a discount of up to 100%. Click here to apply for financial assistance.

SUMMARY:Lucky & The Locals
DESCRIPTION:Field Hall Presents: Lucky & The Locals\nFriday\, August 22nd | Doors 5PM\, Performance 7:30PM | Happy Hour Specials from 5PM-6:30PM\nVIP Tables $40 | General Admission Free\, Donations Appreciated \nGeneral admission seating is first-come\, first-served. This is a Sunset Lounge event with dance floor and bar service throughout the evening.  \nJoin Lucky & The Locals for a summer dance party in the Sunset Lounge at Field Hall! Doors open at 5PM\, music begins at 7PM. Reserved VIP tables are available for $40 – all other seating is first-come\, first-served and by donation. Happy hour menu and specials available 5PM – 6:30PM. \n“The Locals” is a stripped down version of Joel Ricci’s wildly popular “Funkways” ensemble featuring West Seattle All Stars Olli Klomp (Oscillators) on drums and Jason Gray (Polyrhythmics) on electric bass. The twist is Jason Cressey (Monophonics) takes up the Guitar and Lucky himself plays electric piano. Think Meters meets Hailu Mergia at a backyard barbecue. \nAmerican music artist\, Joel Ricci (fka Lucky Brown)\, writes and records in his tiny forest cabin in the foothills of the North Olympic Mountains on the Olympic peninsula of Washington State. As a songwriter\, composer\, arranger\, recording artist\, and professional session and touring trumpet player he has worked as both leader and sideman in many groups for over 20 years. \nJoel has traveled with nationally touring acts such as Portland’s MarchFourth Marching Band\, Orgone from Los Angeles\, and Moksha from Las Vegas. Recently\, an original song of his\, in collaboration with Seattle’s Polyrhythmics\, has been licensed for use in a major Jordan Peele motion picture directed by and starring Dev Patel. \nHe graduated with a bachelor’s degree in music composition from Eastern Washington University in 1999 and has performed in the Peninsula College Jazz band while studying composition and arranging under the tutelage of Dr. David P. Jones. \nAmong his dynamic studio experiments and performance situations\, his former stage/production persona\, ‘Lucky Brown’\, is probably the most widely-recognized via his relationship with German boutique funk and jazz record label\, Tramp Records\, for whom Joel has written\, arranged\, recorded\, produced and licensed more than two-dozen vinyl 45RPM singles as well as six full-length albums and EPs. This relationship has led to Ricci being hailed by music mavens worldwide as a “deep funk pioneer.” \nIn addition to his prolific output of original jazz\, funk\, blues\, and soul compositions\, Joel’s trumpet has appeared on hundreds of independent recordings. One special feature of Joel’s original music is that it comes directly from the heart\, and carries with it the gravity of spiritual and cultural consequence. This sentiment is echoed by the handful of Pacific Northwest rhythmic groups who cover his original tunes as nightly staples in their live show.

SUMMARY:Presented by Pigs on the Wing: Echoes of Pink Floyd Tour
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Pigs on the Wing\nEchoes of Pink Floyd Tour\nSaturday\, July 26th @ 8:00PM | Donna M. Morris Theater\nTickets $25 – $50 | CLICK HERE FOR TICKETS \nFrom its garage-rock roots in 2006 as a one-off club show\, to immersive multimedia productions in top venues throughout the West Coast\, Portland Oregon-based Pink Floyd tribute Pigs on the Wing has built a loyal following dedicated to the band’s high-energy take on Pink Floyd’s music. All members of Pigs on the Wing are seasoned veterans of the Pacific NW rock scene and are unapologetic in bringing their wide-ranging musical influences to the table. Setting the band aside from other tribute-rock acts\, Pigs on the Wing balance a decidedly un-tribute-like attitude towards the music with the precision and authenticity expected by Pink Floyd fans. \nPigs on the Wing has toured relentlessly throughout the Western US and in recent years featured full album performances of Dark Side of the Moon\, Wish You Were Here\, Animals\, and The Wall. None are bier fans of the work of Pink Floyd than the members of Pigs on the Wing themselves\, and the band takes their role as stewards of the music seriously – something immediately evident in the bands’ immersive performances. \nPigs on the Wing’s 2024-2025 tour\, “Echoes of Pink Floyd”\, is a second act to the band’s previous year’s tour. As before\, the Echoes of Pink Floyd tour will feature a new selection of the very best of classic-era Pink Floyd cuts organized into 2 distinct sets. Rather than performing a single album from start to end\, expect to hear the band focus on their favorite sections of the classic albums\, including hits\, deep cuts\, and the band’s trademark willingness to explore the sonic space in experimental improvisation. \nPigs on the Wing is: Matt Sulikowski (sax); Matt Jones (keys / vocals); Bryan Fairfield (drums); Jason Baker (guitar / vocals); Dave Lindenbaum (guitar / vocals); Holly Brooks (vocals); Eric Welder (bass / vocals) \nOfficial Website | Facebook Page | YouTube Channel \n

SUMMARY:An Evening with Cowboy Junkies: Celebrating 40 Years
DESCRIPTION:Field Hall Presents: An Evening with Cowboy Junkies – Celebrating 40 Years\nJune 26 @ 7PM | Donna M. Morris Theater\nField Hall opens at 5:00PM\nTickets $50-$80 CLICK HERE FOR TICKETS \nCowboy Junkies will be performing a career-spanning show from The Trinity Session to their recent album\, Such Ferocious Beauty! \n \nABOUT COWBOY JUNKIES\nSometimes revolutions begin quietly. \nIn 1988\, Cowboy Junkies proved that there was an audience waiting for something quiet\, beautiful and reflective. The Trinity Session was like a whisper that cut through the noise — and it was compelling. It stood out in the midst of the flash and bombast that came to define the late 80’s. The now classic recording combined folk\, blues and rock in a way that had never been heard before and went on to sell more than a million copies. \nFormed in Toronto in 1985 with siblings Michael Timmins on guitar\, Margo Timmins on vocals\, Peter Timmins on drums\, and Michael’s lifelong friend Alan Anton on bass\, the band has sparkled over the course of 29 albums. “I’ve known Alan longer than I’ve known Pete\,” says Michael. “We were friends before Pete was born.” \nUnlike most long-lasting groups\, Cowboy Junkies have never had a break up or taken a sanity-saving hiatus. There’s an appreciation of each other that keeps them constantly working. “It’s that intimacy and understanding of what each one of us brings to the table\,” says Michael. Cowboy Junkies’ will be performing a career-spanning show\, including their new album\, ‘Such Ferocious Beauty’\, which was released worldwide on June 2\, 2023 to universal critical acclaim.

She lives physically in the day\, and ethereally in the evening\, with full feeling and empathy for all of her past and future selves.  As a human\, she is simply known as Stephanie Lee Kernes-Reaume-Batson-LaRonge-Doenges.   She is a multi instrumental classically trained musician and vocalist.  One time\, she won a competition.  At another time\, she was locally known as ‘The Singing EMT’ on youtube.  These days\, she’s known as the lead singer and guitar player and flute player and harmonica player and uke player for Bread & Gravy.   She’s also known as an artist who paints mandala art paintings.  She’s also known as a sound tech\, and runs sound for the Open Mic at the Field Hall\, as well as for her own shows.  In the past\, she was in local bands such as ‘Restless’\, ‘Luck of the Draw’\, and ‘Rolling Waters.’ \nJess Doenges:  piano/God :  At 13 years old\, Jess worked in a gas station.  13 years after that\, he realized he wanted to learn to play the piano.  13 years after that\, he started playing piano professionally.  13 years after that\, he wrote this show.  In the midst of those years\, Jess completely mastered spoken word\, slam poetry\, songwriting\, poker\, and fantasy football.  Playing God has been very humbling for him\, as he always thought he was above such things. \nOwl Chrysalis Medicine:  Narrator/Time Lord :  Owl Medicine is a multi instrumentalist and best selling trauma author and educator.  His music mirrors his writing in its unabashed and powerful approach to vulnerability.  He busked his way through England\, France\, Spain\, and Scotland\, but has found his forever home here on the Olympic Peninsula.  You can find him teaching workshops and performing his unique genre that he calls ’emotive acoustic’. \nJustin Ridle:  random 1950s guy :  After years of annoying his parents with his nonstop vocals\, Justin’s mother and father had the good sense to put Justin in a choir\, and he has never looked back.  For two decades\, Justin sang in theatre:  From opera to rock reviews.. From Australia to Disney World to the National Cathedral in D.C\, he splattered the world with his beautiful and soulful voice.  These days\, he sings on his farm\, in his barn\, on the river\, with friends around campfires\, and habitually hosts gatherings with many of the most talented and unique people on this planet.  His infectious spirit and genuine interest in lifting up those around him make him a person to know fondly. \nJesse Ahmann:  cellist/random 13th century human:   As a classically trained cellist\, and having been surrounded by music all his life\, Jesse has always dreamt of being a composer. He has since learned multiple instruments and frequently uses them in his compositions\, realizing that dream\, working as a film composer\, meditative music writer\, and successful YouTube musician. He loves to convey emotion\, both in the undercurrents of his music and the melodies. He has performed as principal cellist for numerous symphonies across the Northwest\, and also performed at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center; additionally\, he was a featured artist on National Public Radio’s (NPR’s) “All Things Considered.” His musical credits include performances throughout Europe\, Asia\, Central\, and South America.   Locally\, he performs with musical groups such as ‘The Ahmann Brothers’ and ‘Topia Vana’.   Jesse has also started playing standup bass with Bread & Gravy\, and he’s already nearly as accomplished with it\, as he is with the cello.  He has played in exotic places\, such as Quilcene and Chimacum\, in front of tens\, if not dozens\, of people. \nIsabelle Rose:  keyboards/space person:  From a galaxy far far away in Los Angeles California. Isabelle Rose started her musical journey with keyboards in the year 1977.  She was 4 years old the first time she went to see Star wars! When she got home\, she started playing on her dad’s keyboards and baby grand piano.  Since then\, she has evolved in her playing of musical covers\, as well as her original compositions\, with inspiration from Duran Duran\, ELO\, Led Zeppelin\, and Dream Theater.  For years\, she’s been wowing local audiences with her extremely unique and highly entertaining one person show. \nJason Taylor:  bass player/random 1960s human:   Jason is a bass player and vocalist hailing from the Pacific Northwest whose eclectic musical influences are apparent through his playing\, and is constantly working to push the boundaries of his musical understanding. She is a classically trained vocalist and attended Berkley College of Music in Boston\, MA and Western Washington University in Bellingham\, WA as a music major. She plays several different instruments\, has her own band (Olympic Generations)\, and they have been together for over 15 years. Her musical influences are mostly classic country artists such as Glen Cambell\, The Judds\, and The Sons of the Pioneers. She also enjoys some of the tight harmonies from Motown and blue grass. While in high school and college\, she has participated in musical theater and in multiple community choruses\, singing different parts depending on the need: soprano\, alto and/or tenor. She loves listening to a wide variety of music from classical to contemporary worship and pop music.  She loves performing and collaborating with other artists from our musical community.  Her favorite color is All of Them. \nKathy Corriel:  Harmony/Random Human:   Kathy is recently retired and a late bloomer in the local music scene\, although she’s been singing harmony since before she knew what it was.  She grew up in a very musical family and would often sing along with songs from the 40s to the 70s (the ‘Wonder Years’ of music).   She has been a soprano in several worship bands from the age of 17\, and also performed with Port Angeles Community Chorus in a production of ‘Handel’s Messiah’ and other classic operatic pieces.  Currently\, she feels blessed to be part of the Bread & Gravy family and the thriving local music community.   She loves Art\, Music\, Cats\, and PBJ sandwiches with cold milk.
