Hours: Monday-Saturday 10AM-2PM. \nJoin us in the Thomsen Club at Field Hall for one of two dinner club seatings with live music from The Chuchito Valdés Trio! \nBorn in Havana\, pianist\, composer and arranger Chuchito Valdés (Jesús Valdés Jr.) comes from one of the most distinguished musical families of Cuba. The son of legendary Cuban pianist Jesús “Chucho” Valdés\, Chuchito also learned from listening to the recordings of his grandfather\, Bebo Valdés\, one of Cuba’s greatest composers. \nA 7-time Latin GRAMMY nominee\, Chuchito is recognized as a master of Cuban music including Son\, Danzon\, Cuban Timba and Guaguanco. He has also extensively studied classical music including harmony and composition. His original compositions and arrangements draw on classical harmonic and structural techniques. In his performances\, Chuchito’s music draws on many styles including Afro-Cuban Latin Jazz\, Bebop\, Danzon\, Cha-Cha-Cha\, Son Montuno and much more. Chuchito Valdés currently resides in Cancun\, Mexico and is a frequent performer in the United State and Canada. \nWith influences of Caribbean rhythms and jazz\, Chuchito creates an exciting and energetic blend of spicy music that drives audiences wild. This piano master captivates with his sensitivity and drives excitement with his dynamic trio. \nSEE THE MENU: \nAPPETIZERS\nCeviche Cubano — $22\nLocally sourced cod\, shrimp\, and calamari marinated in lime and orange juice with mango\, tomato\, jalapeño\, red onion\, yellow bell pepper\, and cilantro. Served with corn chips. \nBaked Tostones — $12\nPlantains smashed and baked to golden\, crispy perfection. Served with a garlic mojo dipping sauce. \nCharcuterie — $16\nLocal and imported cheeses and cured meats\, almonds\, olives\, and dried fruit. Served with crackers. \nENTRÉES\nRopa Vieja — $28\nBraised flank steak with pimento-stuffed olives\, capers\, poblano peppers\, bell peppers\, and onions in a spicy\, rich tomato sauce. Served with white rice and black beans. \nFricasé de Pollo Cubano — $26\nBone-in\, skin-on chicken thighs and legs seasoned with a mojo marinade and braised with potatoes\, yellow onions\, bell peppers\, pimento-stuffed olives\, and capers in a light tomato sauce. Served with white rice. \nLechón Asado — $23\nPork shoulder braised in a mojo marinade and shredded.
