Field Arts & Events Hall Launches Peninsula Performs! Free Integrated Arts Education Program for Clallam Schools

PORT ANGELES, WA – Field Arts & Events Hall has announced that enrollment for 2022-2023 Peninsula Performs! arts education programs is now open to local educators.

Peninsula Performs! is a new arts education program that connects arts providers directly to students and educators in the Port Angeles School District. This curriculum-based arts integration approach uses music, dance, theater, and visual arts to find new entry points into learning and aligns with both Common Core State Standards and National Core Arts Standards.

2022-2023 arts education experiences are available to 2nd and 5th grade classrooms throughout Port Angeles School District. The first sessions are scheduled at Dry Creek Elementary on October 27th.

Peninsula Performs! is offered at no cost to local schools. Programs are available on a first-come, first-served basis as funding continues.

Current artist educators include Kaylee Cammack, Monica Gutierrez-Quarto, Asha Burson-Johnson, Amy McIntyre, Sarah Tucker, Karen Twight, and Keely Whitmore. The program is led by Kayla Oakes, Director of Education and Community Outreach at Field Hall.
