Expanded by use of the loop pedal and other electronics to sound like a real orchestra\, his music will take you on a mystical spiritual journey through Tribal Africa\, Mongolia\, lands of North American natives\, and beyond. \nAbout Ian Maksin: ianmaksin.com\nInstagram: instagram.com/ianmaksin\nFacebook: facebook.com/cellomaxx\nYouTube: youtube.com/ianmaksin\nApple Music: music.apple.com/us/artist/ian-maksin/268783791\nSpotify: open.spotify.com/artist/2OdXXipsrskFeePBpIdtc2 \nBREAKING BOUNDARIES both musical and geographical\, cellist\, composer and multilingual vocalist IAN MAKSIN has created his own unique style by blending elements of different genres and traditional music from around the globe in a new way using his cello as the main unifying force. \nONE-MAN ORCHESTRA: In addition to cello\, he used an electronic device called the loop pedal\, which allows him to create “loops” or layers by recording and replaying his own playing in real time. \nSINGING IN 30 LANGUAGES: What began as a hobby and a passion for linguistics and travel has become part of a unique concert experience. At this time Ian Maksin sings in Ukrainian\, Polish\, Russian\, English\, Farsi\, Armenian\, French\, Italian\, Arabic\, Hebrew\, Mongolian\, Bambara (one of the tongues spoken in West Africa) and many other exotic languages. Most of this repertoire was amassed by Maksin during his world travels\, jam sessions and collaborations with local musicians. Many of his original songs and instrumental compositions are also infused with flavors of ethnic music from countries and regions where he drew inspiration from: Mongolia\, West Africa\, Middle East\, the Balkans\, Andalusian flamenco. \nTHE GLOBAL MUSICIAN: Ian Maksin was born in Leningrad\, former USSR\, into a multinational family and grew up absorbing many cultures and traditions from an early age. He began playing guitar and piano at age 3 and cello at age 6 at the School for Gifted Children in Leningrad and then came to the USA at 16 to continue studies at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City and Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. After working for many years in the classical genre including a three-year tenure with the New World Symphony in Miami Ian has decided to look for his own musical path. His diverse musical experience\, including playing rock and blues guitar and passion for jazz and world music has allowed him to take the cello to a new dimension and develop his own distinct style as a musician and composer. \nIn Ian’s own words: “At some point I realized that music is much more than mere entertainment. Music is one of most powerful and unifying forces in the world\, capable of healing\, inspiring\, bringing people together and bringing peace among them. I believe that cello will save the world”  \n\n\n\n\n\nOur mission is to make art accessible to everyone. Financial assistance is available for this event through our #fieldhallforall program. SUMMARY:The Rumba Kings
DESCRIPTION:Field Hall Presents: The Rumba Kings\nSaturday\, August 15th @ 7:30PM | Donna M. Morris Theater\n*Tickets $55 – $75 | GET TICKETS HERE\n*Our ticketing platform Ludus charges a 5% service fee for all card transactions. To avoid this fee\, visit our Box Office at 201 W. Front Street and pay via cash or check. Hours: Monday-Saturday 10AM-2PM. \nLet The Rumba Kings transport you the shores of the Mediterranean – where music and passion collide! \nThe Rumba Kings defy expectations with their captivating live performances. Although their name suggests a focus on rumba\, the band’s repertoire extends far beyond that genre. Their music draws from a wide range of influences\, resulting in a diverse and enchanting experience. \nAt the heart of their show is the Spanish guitar\, which takes center stage alongside a string quartet and various other instruments\, while guest vocalists make up a portion of the performance\, the majority of the show is instrumental. \nThe Rumba Kings prioritize showmanship\, infusing their soulful and passionate music with a visually engaging performance. Guitarist George Stevens adds a visual dimension by dancing while playing and connecting with the crowd\, enhancing the overall experience for the audience. \n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT THE RUMBA KINGS\nFormed in June 2015 by Johnny Bacolas and George Stevens\, The Rumba Kings (see Wikipedia Article here) is a Seattle-based band that defies genre boundaries. Influenced by diverse musical styles ranging from Spanish-guitar influenced style of The Gipsy Kings to the Mediterranean-inspired instrumental melodies of Yanni\, their music takes listeners on a journey through the Mediterranean. While their name may suggest a focus on rumba\, the name is a bit misleading.  The Rumba Kings’ repertoire encompasses a myriad of music influences\, creating a rich and dynamic sound that transcends several genres\, combined with the most powerful live show on the world stage. \nThe band’s journey began when Bacolas and Stevens met in May 2015 and discovered a shared musical vision for their dream music and live show. \nBy January 2016\, The Rumba Kings had built a live set-list of original music and began auditioning musicians to form their first live band. They honed their performance through intimate gigs at small clubs in Seattle\, steadily gaining a devoted following.  As word spread about their passionate and energetic shows\, the band graduated to larger venues\, which later included the renowned Triple Door\, various PAC’s\, and various prestigious theaters around The Northwest. \nThe Rumba Kings continue to captivate audiences with their diverse and romantic blend of Pop\, Latin\, and Mediterranean music\, creating a truly unforgettable experience for listeners and concertgoers. \nOur ticketing platform Ludus charges a 5% service fee for all card transactions. SUMMARY:Presented by Pigs on the Wing: Animals
DESCRIPTION:Pigs on the Wing Presents: Animals – 20th Anniversary Tour\nSaturday\, August 8th @ 8:00PM | Donna M. Morris Theater\nTickets $25 – $50 | CLICK HERE FOR TICKETS \nPortland\, Oregon based Pink Floyd tribute Pigs on the Wing announce the band’s 2025-2026 production\, ‘Animals’– a 2 set Pink Floyd concert experience featuring a full performance of Pink Floyd’s 1977 album Animals – and full second set highlighting the very best of Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters-era catalog.\n\nAnimals is Pink Floyd at their heaviest and most epic\, weaving complex progressive rock arrangements into a single conceptual vision unlike anything the band had done before. Fans can expect Pigs on the Wing to deliver a precise\, hard-hitting\, true-to-the-music performance of the classic 1977 Animals album melded seamlessly with Pigs on the Wing’s trademark willingness to explore the improvisational side of Pink Floyd’s music – and to let their own musical strengths guide the journey. This year’s show will additionally showcase a second full set of carefully curated Pink Floyd music from throughout the Roger Waters era – including the hits and some deep cuts as well. In the spirit of Pink Floyd\, Pigs on the Wing’s Animals 2025-2026 tour features an immersive visual dimension including a spectacular light show and live projection mapping for a concert experience unlike any other.\n\nThis tour also celebrates Pigs on the Wing’s 20th anniversary as a band. From its garage-rock roots in 2006 as a one-off club show\, to hundreds of shows and thousands of miles in the van and on the road\, to immersive multimedia productions in top venues throughout the West Coast\, Portland Oregon-based Pink Floyd tribute Pigs on the Wing has built a loyal following dedicated to the band’s high-energy take on Pink Floyd’s music. All members of Pigs on the Wing are seasoned veterans of the Pacific NW rock scene and are unapologetic in bringing their wide-ranging musical influences to the table. Setting the band aside from other tribute-rock acts\, Pigs on the Wing balances a decidedly un-tribute-like attitude towards the music with the precision and authenticity expected by Pink Floyd fans.\n\nPigs on the Wing is: ( L to R): Matt Sulikowski ( sax); Matt Jones ( keys\, vocals); Bryan Fairfield ( drums); Jason Baker ( guitar\, vocals); Dave Lindenbaum ( guitar\, vocals); Holly Brooks ( vocals); Eric Welder ( bass\, vocals)\n\nOfficial Website | Facebook Page | YouTube Channel \n

SUMMARY:An Evening with The Travelin' McCourys
DESCRIPTION:Field Hall Presents: An Evening with The Travelin’ McCourys\nMonday\, August 3rd @ 7:30PM | Donna M. Morris Theater\n*Tickets $29.50 – $54.50 | CLICK HERE FOR TICKETS\n*Our ticketing platform Ludus charges a 5% service fee for all credit card transactions. To avoid this fee\, visit our Box Office at 201 W. Front Street and pay via cash or check. Hours: Monday-Saturday 10AM-2PM. \nFrom a source deep\, abundant\, and pure the river flows. It’s there on the map\, marking place and time. Yet\, the river changes as it remains a constant\, carving away at the edges\, making new pathways\, gaining strength as it progresses forward. The Travelin’ McCourys are that river. \nThe McCoury brothers—Ronnie (mandolin) and Rob (banjo)—were born into the bluegrass tradition. Talk about a source abundant and pure: their father\, Del\, is among the most influential and successful musicians in the history of the genre. Years on the road with Dad in the Del McCoury Band honed their knife-edge chops and encouraged the duo to imagine how traditional bluegrass could cut innovative pathways into 21st century music. \n“If you put your mind\, your skills\, and your ability to it\, I think you can make just about anything work on bluegrass instruments\,” says Ronnie. “That’s a really fun part of this—figuring the new stuff out and surprising the audience.” \nThe newest member of the band\, fiddler Christian Ward\, joined after Jason Carter moved on to pursue a solo career. Bassist Alan Bartram\, and Cody Kilby on guitar\, they assembled a group that could take what they had in their DNA\, the traditions they learned and heard\, and push the music forward. In fact\, the band became the only group to have each of its members recognized with an International Bluegrass Music Association Award for their instrument at least once. There were peers\, too\, that could see bluegrass as both historic and progressive. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees The Allman Brothers Band\, improv-rock kings Phish\, and jamband contemporary Keller Williams were just a few that formed a mutual admiration society with the ensemble. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe band played the Allman’s Wanee Festival and guitarist Warren Haynes’ Christmas Jam—an annual holiday homecoming of Southern music. An early-years jam with the Lee Boys was hailed by many as the highlight of the evening\, and with the video catching fire online\, earned a legion of new\, young fans of their supercharged combination of sacred steel\, R&B\, and bluegrass. There were unforgettable collaborations with country smash Dierks Bentley\, onstage magic jamming with titans String Cheese Incident and Phish\, cutting an album with Keller (Pick)\, and creating the Grateful Ball—a tribute concert-turned-tour bridging bluegrass with the iconic music of the Grateful Dead. \n“That’s something that’s part of us being who we are\,” says Ronnie. “It comes\, too\, with us plugging in. It gets louder\, for sure. We can’t be another version of our dad’s band. It wouldn’t make any sense for us to do that.” \nTheir concerts became can’t-miss events\, whether headlining historic venues or as festival favorites\, drawing the love and respect of a growing fanbase craving their eclectic repertoire. At the 2016 edition of DelFest\, an annual gathering of the genre’s best aptly named for the McCoury patriarch\, the band delivered the take-away highlight. Rolling Stone called it “a sublime combination of rock and bluegrass\, contemporary and classic\, old and young. The best set of the festival…” The river was going new places\, getting stronger. It was time to re-draw the map. \n“We’ve tried to pick songs we think people are going to enjoy\,” says Ronnie. “Something we learned from our dad is that a good song is a good song. It can be done in any way.” \nSo arrives the long-awaited\, self-titled debut album from the quintet. A brilliantly executed set overflowing with inventive style\, stellar musicianship\, and\, of course\, plenty of burnin’ grass\, the 14-song collection is a true culmination of their decades-long journey. From the headwaters of Bill Monroe and the waves of Jerry Garcia to a sound both rooted and revolutionary\, soulful and transcending that belongs only to the Travelin’ McCourys. \n“The album definitely shows what we’ve evolved into as a band. And it’s a pretty good representation of what’s happening with the whole genre\,” says Rob. “The old bluegrass material is something I love but it’s been done many times. We’re forging ahead with our own sound. That’s what you have to do to make it all work.” \nOur mission is to make art accessible to everyone.
