SUMMARY:Hot Damn Scandal
DESCRIPTION:Field Hall Presents: Hot Damn Scandal\nFriday\, July 11th @ 7PM | Sunset Lounge Party\nFREE & open to the public – donations appreciated \nEat\, drink\, dance and be merry with us this summer in the Sunset Lounge! Field Hall invites you to a FREE Sunset Lounge concert with Hot Damn Scandal! Food and drink specials available to purchase: happy hour specials 5PM – 6PM; live music begins at 7PM. \nHot Damn Scandal finds its songs under park benches and in forgotten alleyways\, on the corner of Tom Waits and Gershwin. The resulting outlaw ballads\, dirty jazz\, circus freakouts\, shanty-rags\, string band funk\, lonesome heart-breakers\, and whiskey bottle love songs blend together in what may be best described as ‘Cabaret Americana’: theatrical\, orchestral\, lyrical\, and endlessly danceable. \nThe group began as a nebula of traveling musicians formed around the songs of founder Pete Irving over 15 years ago. Firmly rooted in the Northwest since 2013\, they have played countless shows and festivals up and down the west coast. \nWith influences ranging from Roma Swing to Motown\, from Klezmer too Country\, they’ll be in your ears and on your mind for good after you’ve seen them once.

To this day\, he still does all three extensively.  \nAfter graduating from high school\, Kermet moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington. Seattle became home. In early 1989\, Kermet did his first open mike night at the Comedy Underground in Seattle. Comedy was a fun hobby. In May of 1990\, he quit his job\, said good bye to health care and benefits\, and took the leap to performing full time. It is still his only job skill.  \nHe was the winner of the 2009 Great American Comedy Festival and has had numerous appearances on television and radio. David is a regular at Helium Comedy Club in Portland\, and hosts the Five Star Review podcast and the Hot Bits! Comedy showcase. You’re going to love what he brings to the table!  \n

DESCRIPTION:JULY 25 @ 7PM | SWAY WILD\nSunset Bar & Lounge at Field Arts & Events Hall\nSunset Lounge opens 5PM\, Concert begins 7PM\nGeneral Admission $27\, CLICK HERE FOR TICKETS \nJoin us for a summertime concert in the waterfront Sunset Bar & Lounge at Field Hall! San Juan Island\, WA-based indie folk-rock duo Mandy Fer and Dave McGraw are back at it with a new sound\, and a new name: Sway Wild! Their exceptional vocal harmonies\, coupled with Fer’s pioneering electric guitar work\, have become a vehicle to carry them around the world\, sharing stages with the likes of Iron & Wine\, Lake Street Dive\, and Watchhouse. \nSway Wild’s infectious sound explores the corners of rock\, pop\, funk\, worldbeat\, and folk\, but at its nucleus it is undeniably a music full of joy. It can squeeze the heart in your chest\, it can draw tears from your eyes\, and it can force you to get up and move your body; over and over\, it somehow manages to do all three at once. Mandy Fer also tours as the lead guitarist for Amos Lee and Allison Russell and has recently performed with Brandi Carlile. \n \nListen on Spotify \nThe Sunset Bar & Lounge opens at 5PM and will remain open and serving food and drinks through 9PM. Enjoy our July menu with summery picnic-themed appetizers and entrees and a selection of seasonal cocktails and mocktails. Show tickets will be required to enter the Sunset Lounge at Field Hall for this event.
