What is Canoe Journeys? Canoe Journeys commenced thirty five years ago, kicking off a new age tribal annual event aimed to bring First Nations and Native American communities together. Tribal Nations from as far as Alaska and California paddle in their beautifully crafted cedar canoes for days to weeks. They travel to join the host tribe in celebration by feasting, dance and singing, and gift exchanging. Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe is once again honored to host Canoe Journeys, Paddle to Elwha.
