The energy was electric as guests walked through the lower Pat Donlin Lobby and ascended the grand staircase to the upstairs Sunset Bar & Lounge. Laughter and conversation filled the air as patrons mingled, most seeing the completed events center for the first time. The stunning water views in the Sunset Lounge provided a perfect backdrop for celebration.

Prior to the main event, pianist Chuck Lamb performed an inspiring improvised piece exclusively for the generous donors who contributed to the acquisition of a Steinway D Concert Piano in advance of the 2023 Music on the Strait Festival events. This intimate moment allowed patrons to experience the instrument’s splendor up close and served as a sincere token of appreciation for their invaluable support.

As the lights dimmed and the crowd settled into their seats, the Brubeck Brothers Quartet stepped onto the stage to thunderous applause. Comprised of renowned jazz musicians, the quartet was led by the talented Chris and Dan Brubeck, sons of the legendary jazz pianist, Dave Brubeck. Guitarist Mike DeMicco and pianist Chuck Lamb completed the dynamic quartet.
