101 Quartet is a group of musicians based at various points along Highway 101 between Port Angeles and Sequim, WA. Trumpet player Joel Ricci, formerly known as Lucky Brown, has worked in various musical roles for over 20 years and holds a degree in music composition. Steve Kirk is a composer and guitarist who specializes in multi-media compositions and has worked on projects like video games and television cartoons. Jim Charlier, bass, has studied music and engineering and has played in big bands and jazz/funk/rock combos. Pete Harris is a drummer who has played in various combos across the US, Europe, and Japan. Together, they form the 101 Quartet and perform jazz and other genres with an emphasis on showcasing their own homegrown original tunes and unique arrangements in the North Olympic Peninsula.
