Field Hall Gallery Exhibit Opening: LIFE FORCE
January 30 @ 5PM – 7PM
FREE ADMISSION
Local artists Carolyn Heryford Watts and Tracy Grisman’s paintings are showcased side by side in LIFE FORCE.
A posthumous show of Carolyn’s organic, meticulous design of shapes of color inspired by her years spent nature-walking on the beach and looking under the microscope while running the phlebotomy lab at Providence Hospital in Seattle. Her work is presented alongside Tracy’s expressive depictions of musicians from years of connecting through music and caring for others as a registered nurse. LIFE FORCE is the alchemy when two artists meet and share their stories and work: depictions of life in it’s organic forms – micro to macro, cellular to human.
On January 30th, join us for the opening celebration featuring live music with The Hot Club of Port Townsend. The jazz manouche trio includes Tracy Grisman (bass), Bobbi Nikles (violin), and Jessica Logan (guitar). Enjoy a casual French Bistro atmosphere and remarks with the artists and gallery curator. This event is free and open to the public.
Gallery hours are 10AM – 2PM Monday through Saturday. Admission is free, donations appreciated. Private tours are available by request – email gallery@fieldhallevents.org to arrange a tour.
LIFE FORCE will remain on display at the Field Hall Gallery through April 6th.
