As the exhibit “Strong People, Strong Artists” draws to a close, join us for an afternoon of storytelling, conversation, and cultural connection on January 18th from 12PM to 1:30PM. Stories will be shared by three distinct Indigenous storytellers: Jamie Valadez from the Elwha Tribe, Chris Jones from the Port Gamble Tribe, and Mackenzie Grinnell from the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe. After the storytelling, there will be time for conversation and reflection until 2PM.
This special event takes place during the gallery’s regular hours of 10AM – 2PM, so come early to explore the remarkable works of art featured in the exhibit, celebrating the strength, resilience, and creativity of celebrated Klallam artists from the Elwha, Jamestown, and Port Gamble Tribes.
The “Strong People, Strong Artists” exhibit is a tribute to the enduring spirit of Indigenous culture and the remarkable talent of its people. Don’t miss your chance to experience it before it closes on January 18th!
