Join us for FREE JAZZ SUNDAY in the Sunset Lounge on Sunday, January 4th with the Joel Ricci Trio! The Joel Ricci Trio is plays almost exclusively Ricci’s original jazz compositions written in prototypical “jazz standard” style. The group features local artists Sal Michael on drums and Kendall Melton on electric and stand up bass.  Expect original, raw, working-class jazz!

General Admission seating is first come, first-served and not guaranteed throughout the event. Private premium tables are available by RSVP and $40 donation.

LIVE MUSIC in the Sunset Lounge from 12:00 to 1:30PM. Bloody Mary & Mimosa Bar available in the Sunset Lounge 11:00AM – 2:00PM. The Waterfront Coffee Bar will be open and offering food and drink from 8:00AM-3:00PM.

JOEL RICCI / LUCKY BROWN
Port Angeles music artist, Joel Ricci (sometimes known as Lucky Brown), writes and records in his tiny forest cabin in the foothills of the North Olympic Mountains on the Olympic peninsula of Washington State. As a songwriter, composer, arranger, recording artist, and professional session and touring trumpet player he has worked as both leader and sideman in many groups for over 20 years. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in music composition from Eastern Washington University in 1999 and has performed in the Peninsula College Jazz band while studying composition and arranging under the tutelage of Dr. David P. Jones. Via his relationshipL with German boutique funk and jazz reissue label, Tramp Records, for whom Joel has written, arranged, recorded, produced and licensed more than two-dozen vinyl 45RPM singles as well as six full-length albums and EPs, he has been hailed by music mavens worldwide as a “deep funk pioneer.”

KENDALL MELTON
Kendall Melton has been playing music for the past decade, she fell in love with jazz and the bass guitar in college. After college she moved on to perform with local bands across the Olympic Peninsula, playing her electric and double bass in style.

SAL MICHAEL
Sal is a lifelong percussionist, amateur accordionist, and an enthusiastically loud singer from the Inland Empire.

Please note: seating is limited for this popular free event series! Plan to arrive early (doors open at 11AM) to secure seating. Seating is first come, first served and limited – standing room only once full. To guarantee seating, please reserve a VIP table for four.
