Data that could change our understanding of Earth lies beyond the reach of science until biologist Gregg Treinish and his team head far beyond the limits of the horizon.
Whether they’re hiking frozen peaks in the backcountry or kayaking remote rivers, biologist and National Geographic Explorer Gregg Treinish and his team are on a mission to collect samples at some of the most difficult places to reach on the planet. Follow a series of adventures as Gregg delivers to scientists the raw data that could change our understanding of the world around us.
ABOUT GREGG TREINISH
Gregg Treinish founded the group called Adventure Scientists in 2011 with a strong passion for both scientific discovery and exploration. Through his experiences researching lynx, wolverines, bears, owls, and sturgeon, he realized that athletes in the remote outdoors can be ideal partners for scientific data collection. He has been named an Ashoka Fellow as a leading social entrepreneur, was a member of the 2018 Grist 50, and was named National Geographic Adventurer of the Year in 2008.
