About Kaylee
Kaylee Cammack is a mixed media artist focusing primarily on gel printing, collage, and card making. She also loves incorporating her colorful gel prints and collages into handmade books.
Kaylee has a Master of Arts in Teaching and enjoys teaching both children and adults how to gel print, create collages, make cards, and create little folded books. She also teaches community education art classes for Peninsula College. Kaylee gathers inspiration and creative ideas while walking on the beach and running local trails with her husband and their dogs.
What Students Can Explore
Kaylee’s workshops invite students to explore and play with new materials while discovering how colors and textures can be manipulated. Students learn the steps involved in creating colorful prints and experimenting with layers in printmaking. With more time, students can build creative confidence, create original work, revise and improve their work, complete a larger project, and develop independence.
Students get the most from Kaylee’s teaching when:
“They have time and space to create and experiment with the materials.”
In Kaylee’s classroom, students: “Get to explore and play with new materials and see how colors and textures can be manipulated.”
Kaylee focuses on helping students: “Have fun and learn the steps to create colorful prints.”
Students leave with: “A basic understanding of creating layers in printmaking and a bit of excitement after getting to try something new and different.”
