San Juan Island-based artists Mandy Fer and Dave McGraw, celebrated their 14th anniversary with a joyful and intimate concert. The event was well-attended, with the duo captivating the crowd with their exceptional vocal harmonies and instrumental prowess.

Sway Wild has redefined their sound with a new name and an innovative approach to music. Their infectious sound explores the corners of rock, pop, funk, worldbeat, and folk, but at its core, it is undeniably music full of joy.

Mandy Fer’s pioneering electric guitar work, combined with the duo’s exceptional vocal harmonies, has carried them around the world, sharing stages with renowned acts like Iron & Wine, Lake Street Dive, and Watchhouse. Mandy Fer also tours as the lead guitarist for Amos Lee and Allison Russell and has recently performed with Brandi Carlile.

The duo shared delightful stories behind their songs, including a charming tale of their first date that ended with a songwriting challenge.

As a special treat, an orca was spotted in the harbor just outside Field Hall during intermission, adding a magical touch to the evening.

Our Food and Beverage team complemented the night with delicious specials from the July “Summer Picnic” menu. Our August “Fresh & Light Bites” menu will be served in the Sunset Lounge beginning August 1st.
