Field Hall 3rd Annual Gala: A Night at the Circus!

On May 15th, Field Arts & Events Hall celebrated our 3rd annual fundraising gala in the big top tent with Flynn Creek Circus! The evening featured incredible acrobatic performances, delicious circus-themed tapas, and special ceremonies honoring some of Field Hall’s biggest supporters.

AN EVENING OF FOOD, FUN & FRIENDS

We began the evening inside the Pat Donlin Lobby and Sunset Lounge, transformed by our talented tech team. Guests enjoyed appetizers celebrating the abundance of the land and ocean, with a raw oyster bar and stunning charcuterie spread prepared by chef Stephen Duffy

Staff and guests alike were invited to dress up in their circus-inspired outfits, and they certainly did not disappoint! Local face painter Carmen Segundo even arrived early to give our staff a little extra sparkle in celebration of the special event.

As guests mingled over welcome cocktails, performers from Flynn Creek Circus gave a preview of their extraordinary skills to help set the tone for the evening’s excitement.

As guests mingled and connected with new and old friends, our emcee Kevin Joyce of Enjoy Productions helped keep the energy high and the smiles wide. Our friends at Peninsula Party Booth captured shots in their themed photobooth: click here to see the selfies!

While inside the Sunset Lounge, our guests were welcomed to peruse a collection of incredible silent auction items, all generously donated by local businesses, artists, and individuals.

FROM FIELD HALL TO THE BIG TOP TENT

The fun didn’t end there! Our circus performers ushered guests from Field Hall to the big top tent, where more surprises were in store. A special thanks to Morrison Excavating, who worked alongside Field Hall to prepare the empty lot beside Field Hall into a space suitable for erecting a classic big-top tent.

AN EVENING OF JOY & RECOGNITION

As guests walked into the big top, they were greeted by Field Hall staff and Flynn Creek performers who ushered them to their seats and promptly set them up with complimentary drinks as they waited for the program to begin. The stage lights set the mood for an unforgettable evening.

The unique gala program featured short performances from Flynn Creek Circus interspersed with a few memorable moments. Most notably: a tearful tribute to Board President Brooke Taylor, delivered by his children (who surprised him by flying up!) and a silly-but-heartfelt presentation of a “Doctor of Realized Possibility” diploma in honor of his extraordinary support of and advocacy for Field Hall’s capital campaign.

Lower Elwha Klallam Tribal Chairwoman welcomed guests and provided a land acknowledgement

Field Hall Board President Judge Brooke Taylor was honored for ten years of leadership with a signed poster from the Pink Martini show that he helped organize for Port Angeles audiences.

Steve Moriarity was honored with a "diploma" recognizing his support as both a donor and an advocate for the construction of Field Arts & Events Hall

GENEROUS SUPPORT & GOODWILL

Guests were offered multiple ways to get involved in supporting Field Hall: from a fast-paced live auction to a “fund the future” paddle raising to appeals for future membership and patronage. The audience did not disappoint, with many attendees opting to open their hearts and wallets in support of our mission: to be a home for arts and events that bring people together and strengthen our community.

Over $140,000 were raised throughout the evening: an incredible feat from an incredible audience!

Funds raised will go directly toward Field Hall’s day-to-day operations, the essential, behind-the-scenes work that keeps our doors open and our stage active.

Unrestricted operating support is among the most valuable gifts we can receive it allows us to cover the real costs of running the Hall, respond nimbly to needs as they arise, and continue bringing world-class performances, community gatherings, and arts education to the Olympic Peninsula.

OUR THANKS TO ALL SPONSORS & SUPPORTERS

An event like this takes the support of hundreds of individuals. From the attendees who celebrated with us to the staff who worked to make the magic happen: we appreciate you!

In addition to those who enjoyed the evening with us, we’d like to acknowledge all of the sponsors who made the event possible through their generous donations and in-kind support.
